LIMT-02_Ukrainian: Active Shooter and Armed Aggressor Attacks
The Local Incident Management Team exercise for Active Shooter and Armed Aggressor Attacks is designed to move the management team through a systematic process of identifying, evaluating and addressing complex and interrelated risks within an escalating emergency or crisis situation; exercising the phases or planning and preparation, responding and managing, and then transitioning and recovering from a disruptive incident. This exercise tests the ability for leaders to identify and evaluate immediate, near and long-term risks, as well as primary and peripheral risks. It also tests the management teams understanding and application of management structures, roles and responsibilities, reporting lines, informed and prioritized decision making, the application of policies, plans and protocols, the ability to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and in a timely manner, the evaluation, prioritization and engagement of internal and external stakeholders, the effective leveraging of support and resources, and the application of just-in-time training and upskilling.
