Breaches to a site perimeter or through access points are a real and present danger for any guard force. This may be from criminals, those intent on commercial espionage or sabotage, hostile crowds during episodes of civil disorder including labor disputes, from active shooters and armed aggressors, or from militants and terrorists. It is critical that members of a guard force understand the response protocols required to identify, respond to, and then manage a facility security breach, whether this is to the external perimeter, internal restricted areas, or into a building within a complex.
